I saw Live Free or Die Hard yesterday and in it, Jonh McClane gets a new sidekick. And knowing my love for funny, human, akward sidekicks, I knew from the preview that I would love this guy. However, the actor looked stragely familiar.

He's been on my freaking computer for a month!!!!! And I'm terrible with faces. So it's been driving me nuts during the whole movie (awesome btw, John McClane is the best action hero ever! Yippee-ki-yay) Where have I seen this guy???? Did some googgling and realized he's been on my desktop for more than a month!!!!! He's the guy that does the Mac computer advertizements (see avi) and  falafel_fiction. The trailer and graphics I made for it and can be viewed here. I love doing trailers, it would be my dream job to do that professionally.

LOL! Yeah, that's Justin Long. He's a little cutie. He's been in a few different films here and there. He was in a movie called Galaxy Quest, Jeepers Creepers, and Accepted (among many other things). He's one of those actors you kind of see in the background of stuff.

Though the PC/Mac adverts are prolly where most people recognize him from. He rocks as Mac! :P

I think 'He's a little cutie' describes him perfectly. :D He's not Brad Pitt gorgeous and I think people can easily relate to him because of that. Kid's got a very endearing smile too!

There might be some laughs in between all the screaming and "OMG you just killed an helicopter with a CAR!" :D

Yeah, the guy from the PC/MAC ads is kind of cute. ;D Funny that he was in DIE HARD. hehe.

And, guh, that was a beautiful trailer. I LOVED the voiceovers and the fading out and in of scenes technique worked great. And the music was just gorgeous. Can you tell me what film that music was from, by the way? I know it from somewhere and it'll drive me nuts if I can't get the info. :D

Anyway, excellent work on this! :D

Thanks Maria!! The music is from the movie The Thin Red Line (a movie I never saw!) but I know it's been used for other stuff too like trailers. They used it for the first Pearl Harbor trailer and that's how I felt in love with it. I was more excited to see Pearl Habor than LotR... can you imagine? All because of a piece of music.

Dude! MAC!!!!!!! Squee! Hahhaa.

I actually watched the break-up the other day with Jennifer Anniston and Vince Vaughn and he played Jennifer's obviously gay co-worker. Haha. The first thing I said was, "It's MAAAAAAAAAC!" hahaha. I bet he gets called Mac all the time when he's recognized. LOL. Love him.

I've seen the break-up!! It was great. I remember the co-worker, thought he was hilarious but I didn't make the connection with Mac. I'm so terrible with faces...

Ohhhh, that guy! He was on "Ed"; that's where I know him from. How funny he was on your computer the whole time! :D

The trailer is brilliant! If only you could do them professionally. You'd be great at it. :)

Ed? Gosh, the guy's been everywhere and I just noticed him. ;) Is it good? Maybe I'll rent the dvds.

btw, would you mind making a graphic for the trailer? I'd like to submit it to LVI. (I've talked about it in the yahoo group but it was buried deeply!)

I love the Mac PC commercials. They crack me up. I didn't know that guy did movies. He's great. Did he come out of it all right in the film? Sidekicks rule!

Oh, he's great, very funny. He's everything I love about sidekicks. Young, funny, boyish looking, cute but also awkward looking, keeps getting in trouble all the time, gets his ass saved about 100 times by the hero, and he gets more and more courageous as the movie advances. He's a hero at the end. (And I don't think I'm spoiling anything here as this is a buy-the-book action movie and he's a by-the-book sidekick)

I love sidekicks so much.

No, you don't have to worry about spoiling me. I saw one Die Hard movie and that was enough for me. : )

ah! okay! Not a big fan of big action movies. :D They're my guilty pleasure, I guess. I've watch the first Die Hard so many times, I know it by heart. Classic Christmas movie. :D

At first, I thought the guy looked a little like a young Keanu Reeves.
